Emphasis in this workshop was on building and programming using the new Mindstorms NXT robotics system, but we also discussed FLL team management and answered other questions about the FLL program. A NXT set and computer was available for every two attendees for hands-on practice on some simple challenges. Some teams chose to practice with an RCX set instead (e.g. to learn how to use the RCX rotation sensors to drive straight).
