AWARDS AND ADVANCEMENT TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT

Of the 12 teams at the tournament, the following three were selected to Advance to the Northern California Championship Tournament in January:

JUDGE FEEDBACK SUMMARY

Although each team received feedback from the judges in the form of a highlighted rubric, several teams have asked how they ranked in comparison to other teams in the various award categories.  We don't have team ranking information for you, and we don't believe it is in the spirit of the FLL program to be overly concerned with competing and comparing yourself with other teams.  However it could be valuable to see generally how teams were judged iin the different categories.

In the table below, ratings have been designated 1, 2 or 3 on a relative scale with roughly an equal number of teams in each bucket.  You can think of these ratings as Blue Ribbon, Red Ribbon, and Yellow Ribbon.  For the challenge scores, cutoffs of 300, 200 and 100 are shown.  Please do not over analyze these ratings or stress if you think your team is incorrectly rated.  Please do use this feedback as an opportunity for your team to reflect on their accomplishments during the FLL season.
