Activity: Engineer a Better Car
www.RoboticsLearning.com

In this activity, students learn basic principles of gears and pulleys, experiment with different designs, and practice making and testing incremental improvements.  Students use parts from the robotics kit to build a simple car powered by momentum, a flywheel, or a motor.  Through discussion, experimentation, and performance challenges, they learn the advantages and disadvantages of different design trade-offs.
